The influence of service innovation on competitive advantage and business performance has increased noticeably in the past decade. Technology is dramatically changing how services are conceived, developed, and delivered; it is being embedded into an ever-increasing range of services. Thus, the role and relevance of technology in service innovation are increasingly expanding in the current business environment. In common parlance, the term services mean personal services like repairing, health service, legal services, counseling etc. Marketing experts view the problem in a different way. They feel that the contents of services are much wider. Services are deeds, acts or performances.
