The neuropsychological scale is the main assessment tool for cognitive function, which helps to understand the pattern and degree of cognitive impairment in schizophrenia, evaluate the efficacy of drugs or training on cognitive impairment, and predict the clinical and functional outcomes. From the evaluation content, the scope of psychology or behavior evaluated by neuropsychological tests is very broad, involving various aspects of brain function, such as sensation, perception, movement, speech, attention, memory, and thinking. From the perspective of applicable object scope, it can be divided into universality (used to evaluate various adult populations) and specificity for schizophrenia.
